Apple iPad Can Now Use HP ePrint Printers
HP has announced the compatibility of its printers with Apple devices like the iPad, iPhone and the iPod touch. The update was released after the iOS 4.2 update in November.
The new capability has followed after the release of iPad iOS 4.2 that includes AirPrint wireless printing that is present in the mentioned Apple devices, such as the iPad.
This feature makes printing from iDevice possible by automatically detecting the printer connected to the local network, and printing the photos, texts, and graphics found in the device remotely through a Wi-fi connection.
What’s so adorable about this feature is the absence of downloading a software or installing a printing driver on iPad in order to print via different printers that support AirPrint.
HP’s existing and upcoming ePrint enabled printers are currently the first printers for iPad that can support the direct printing from this popular Apple’s tablet and other iDevices.
According to Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing Philip Schiller, AirPrint is Apple’s new advantage and powerful tool in printing. It matches the iOS of the Apple product eliminating the need for configuration, downloading software and installing printing drivers.
Apple gadget users will now have the ease of tapping the screen of their device if they want to print something from their tablet.
They can also print anytime and anywhere from the available selection of ePrint printers: printing can result to amazing and high-quality printed pages in minutes.
AirPrint currently supports various printers from entry level inkjet printers to office laser printers. In addition, iOS 4.2 devices can use printers connected to Mac or PC.
iOS 4.2 compatible HP printers include Officejet, HP Photosmart, Officejet Pro and LaserJet Pro series ePrint enabled printers.
