Apple Offers Free iPad Engraving for the Holidays
To show gratefulness to the people who patronized the iPad, Apple is currently offering free iPad engraving online to let customers add their personal touch on their iPads for the upcoming holidays: Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
This offer is available for consumers who bought their iPads from Apple.com, an “Apple Online Store exclusive.”
This confirms the rumor that circulated in July about the company’s offer which was originally available only for the iPod touch. iPod engraving has been available from the Apple online store for a few years now. And now this service becomes available for iPad owners.
Apple will allow up to two lines of engraved text at the back of the consumers’ iPads after selecting an iPad model with any accessory they like and purchasing the gadget from the online store.
Customers should check thoroughly on the spelling of the engraved text on their iPads since engraved iPads are non-returnable. Engraving option also lengthens the days the device will be delivered in 1 to 3 days from the original within 24 hours delivery.
Meanwhile, Oppenheimer analyst Yair Reiner predicts Apple will sell as many as 6.5 million iPads from October to December. The reason for this is that people are expected to have their iPads as presents for Christmas.
Analysts doubt if Apple can keep up with the consumers demand for these holidays. In fact, Apple is currently having issues in coping up with the production of the iPad since it was released.
The iPad have already sold 7 million units since it was released, and the device played a major role in Apple’s revenue ($2.8 billion in revenue during the September quarter).
