Apple Releases iPad Mini This Year
Apple competitors, Microsoft and Google have recently announced their plan of releasing new tablets that are predicted to compete with the tablet king, the iPad. This is obviously the reason why the Cupertino Company has finalized the plan to release the smaller version of its famous tablet for the holiday season. This can be great news for those who are planning to end their year with a new gadget.
According to Bloomberg, the iPad mini is expected to have a smaller screen size of 7 inches. The downside is that it won’t include the hailed retina display as what has been predicted earlier. The website’s report is said to be coming from two persons who are familiar with the product, and of course Apple.
Though romurs on the release of smaller Apple iPad in the past all turned to dust, the company is expected to release the real thing before this year ends. Competition wise, the company is expected to stop the competitors before those can even take the first step. It’s still fresh in our memories when Microsoft bragged about its new (Surface tablet) tablet that shines with a slick and stylistic keyboard. Though further details of the product like release date, specs, and pricing, are still not available, it’s something that won’t let the Cupertino Company sleep.
Google on the other hand has released its famous Nexus 7 that will let the users experience the performance of the company’s freshest operating system, the Jelly Bean. Android gadgets are always popular in the gadget world. Like iOS it’s something that users will recognize seconds after you mentioned the word. This means that one stronger push from the company will surely increase the small spark that the gadgets possess.
Apple on the other hand won’t just leave these competitors happy. It will always think of a weapon that will execute an enormous blow it will knock the opponents right away. That weapon is expected to be the iPad mini. Just the mention of the name is already enough to stir the minds of the iOS hungry consumers that are always there waiting for the Cupertino Company to unleash its new baby.
Let’s not forget about Amazon’s Kindle Fire that is considered an iPad alternative. Though the tablet is not selling as much as the leading tablet in the whole world, the gadget shows the potential to snatch the crown from Apple if given the chance.
Still, analysts are seeing the dominance of the iTablet in the market. According to Bloomberg, “a smaller iPad launched in time for the holidays would be “a punch to the gut for Google and Microsoft.” The gadget is also expected to be lesser in price which makes it shine like a gym in the eyes of the Apple and iPad fans.
Shaw Wu, an analyst at Sterne Agee & Leach Inc said, “It would be the competitors’ worst nightmare,” when talking about the iPad mini. The analyst also believes that Apple will still be dominating the business game and “the ball is in Apple’s court.”
