Apple to Release Its New iPad-TV for $99
There have been rumors that the next-generation TV released by Apple will cost just $99. It will have iPad processor and allow tapping into cloud storage space.
This new TV is currently described as Apple’s hobby. Its price will be twice less the price for a 160-GB TV available for $189.
This TV reportedly will basically be an iPad. However this tablet won’t have a screen. It will use the same hardware as a popular device. This means that the new Apple TV will have iPad’s CPU, OS and flash memory.
The company will most likely emphasize streaming content. This will help to save some room in the small storage.
Anonymous sources claim that this new TV will be launched in order to compete with Google TV. It’s still unknown if Apple thinks about adjusting its content strategy. Previous it was told that most content would be priced at less than $2. As for HD movies, they should be sold at $3.99.
Apple TV product was updated in 2009. The company added web radio and iTunes updates. However Internet connectivity supports only YouTube and Flickr.
