Photos: New iPad 2 Mini Would be 7-inch?
A photo with Chinese blogger Dreamer Jimmy holding a 7-inch device which looks like an iPad 2 next to original iPad spreads over the Internet.
At the same Steve Jobs publicly criticized this form factor, so what’s the possibility of this to be a Photoshop hoax? Or is it really the next iPad’s version?
However, this is a perfect illustration of how any type of information jumps on among curious Apple fans.
Chinese Dreamer Jimmy’s blog, along with the Akihabara News site describe this iDevice as a new toy mini iPad 2.
This phrase could be indeed a clue about device’s origin.
It could be either a print-out of the authentic iPad 2 photo resized to a 7-inch form factor on a photo or glossy paper and glued to a 7-inch piece of wood, a Photoshop job, simply a toy or perhaps a real 7-inch iPad prototype which Apple may confirmed for internal use or testing purposes that leaked to the publicity somehow.
The toy iPad mini looks just like a smaller version of original iPad, so it could really be a masterpiece made of photo paper and a piece of wood or something like that, simply to wake publicity’s appetite for news about iPad 2.
If this device is really a smaller configuration of iPad 2, then it turns Steve Job’s words about Android OS operated and other 7-inch tablets will be dead on arrival into a joke.
He never mentioned an Apple iPad 2 in a 7-inch form factor would be DOA, still he’d say it was mini-me of revolution and magic.
As a conclusion to this story, you can believe it’s the new smaller iPad 2 if you want, but remember that it can turn out to be a hoax. After all, as we know Dreamer Jimmy is not Steve Jobs.
