Wall Street Journal Monthly Subscription for iPad Costs $18
This news app has been mentioned in our Popular and Free App for Your Apple iPad rating. And now it’s been reported that a monthly iPad subscription of that full version of the Wall Street Journal will cost you $17.99. Isn’t it a bit too much to pay for one application?
You can compare this price to the dead tress subscription that is $9 less expensive. However, with every other day there are fewer and fewer of print readers. More people are using digital newsletters and newspapers, and WSJ has to deal with this.
According to WSJ, what now becomes popular is advertising on the iPad. Some magazines including Time are planning to debut their version for Apple’s tablet with adverts from famous companies. Reportedly, those companies (Toyota, Fidelity Investments and others) are said to set magazines back 200,000 bucks for the full 8 issues.
Some editions promise bonuses for advertisers who purchase several pages of ads at once. They are offered extra features, such as iPad video.
